Colour treatments
Treatment of wood shingle façades with linseed oil paints
A colour coating gives a wooden shingle façade a special look and also protects it from the effects of weather. Cut spruce shingles in particular are often treated.
We use only natural linseed oil paints. These are ideal for wooden shingles as they are vapour-permeable, elastic and very easy to maintain. If desired, they can be refreshed an unlimited number of times without the need for laborious sanding, as is the case with conventional paint systems. Furthermore, they contain no plastics and therefore do not release microplastics.
We have developed a three-step system with a specially formulated recipe that guarantees optimum protection for the shingles: an immersion primer that protects the shingles on all sides, followed by two paint treatments after installation.
Linseed oil paints are available in a wide range of colours. It is also possible to have special colours produced, for example for listed buildings.
